Workouts in the pool get closer day by day. Meanwhile, here on Straight to the Bar :
- Articles : Dmitri Ivanov espoused some Vasili Alexeyev wisdom in the superb Science of Winning, Mike Mahler discussed Training for General Fitness and Mehdi looked at a wonderfully inexpensive way to make your own bumper plates.
- Videos : the guys at Upward Spiral provide a great Intro to Posture, this is what a Beast Bent Press looks like and Crossfit posted up a great demonstration of a Ring Push-ups Progression.
- Sites : Mike Maloney tells what it's like on the platform in I Beat Weight Loss, Outdoor Fitness has some fantastic outdoor gym gear and Hollywood Stunts teaches everything from wire work to setting yourself on fire. Superb.
- Ideas : As I mentioned above, workouts in the backyard pool are calling loudly (it'll get hot here in another month or two). If climbing's more your thing, there's always the Digiwall (programming games for it would be an excellent job); or jump on the Expresso for some cycling through a virtual world. Love it (and I'm not the only one).
- Bonus : From the Charles Staley video Do Not Resuscitate, here's James Fitzjohn performing a wonderfully simple, intense workout :
Superb.
